Anna Yorozuya

PhD Student

Anna is a PhD candidate in Political Science specializing in comparative politics and political economy, with a regional focus on Eastern Europe. Her research interests include historical political economy, nation-building, state formation, and center-periphery relations. Her dissertation examines the processes of nation- and state-building in Poland from the partition era through the interwar republic. Her work combines quantitative methods with archival research in Polish, German, and Russian sources. Before joining Yale, she received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tokyo, where she studied law and political science.
