Christina Logvynyuk
Christina Logvynyuk is pursuing her MA in European and Russian studies at the Yale GSAS. She holds a BA in Economics and in East European Studies from Yale University. Her undergraduate research focused on the US foreign policy approach towards Eastern Europe, particularly Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia immediately before and after the collapse of the USSR. It began to categorize and evaluate the containment and appeasement approach of the US towards Eastern Europe and Russia after the collapse, respectively, and assess the implications these approaches have had on foreign policy towards the region since. Christina hopes to expand on this research further by building out this categorization framework and further evaluating the US response of the 1990s while completing her MA.
While completing her undergraduate degree, Christina worked for the research and policy team within the advocacy team of the nonprofit Razom for Ukraine, where she researched and compiled materials for congressional advocacy efforts, focusing specifically on the topic of the forced illegal deportation of Ukrainian children from occupied territories by Russia. She continued her work with the organization by building the Ukraine on Campus project, shifting her work towards organizational support and advocacy efforts at universities across the US. Christina is also a Ukrainian language tutor and has experience in both oral and written translation of the language.
