Danny Mollericona Alfaro

Danny Mollericona is an Aymara sociologist from Bolivia and a PhD student in Sociology at Yale University. He specializes in the study of culture, Indigenous populations, and the intersection of ethnoracial identities and inequality, with a primary focus on Latin America. His current research examines cultural appropriation and collective meaning-making through the transnational circulation of Indigenous material culture, focusing on the appropriation of a Mixe blouse by French fashion houses. By situating European cultural industries within global regimes of value and aesthetics, his work contributes to broader debates in European Studies on culture, inequality, and symbolic power.
