PhD Student

Dominic Bocci is a PhD candidate in the combined program in Anthropology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Yale University. In addition to his dissertation research, he is leading a project on the global rollback of LGBTQ+ rights, focusing on stalled progress and growing resistance across Europe amid rising populist and conservative movements. His work examines how activists in countries such as Poland and Hungary are responding to government crackdowns and diminishing international funding. A former Fulbright Fellow, Bocci also serves as a director at the Council on Foreign Relations.
