PhD Student

Hannah Lloyd is a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of History. Her research focuses on the relationship between cuisine and medicine in the later Middle Ages. While her dissertation is centered geographically on Italy and France, her research incorporates material from across western Europe, especially England and Germany. She is also interested in exploring the possibilities of automated digital transcription, a project she first became involved in during her BA and MA in History at the University of Toronto.
