Isabelle Aboaf
PhD Student
Isabelle is a combined PhD student in Political Science and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Broadly, she is interested in state regulation of the body, institutionalized secularism, and public production and maintenance of social and cultural norms related to gender and the body. She is particularly interested in French and Italian gender politics. Before coming to Yale, Isabelle worked as a federal auditor for the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) in Washington, DC. Isabelle earned her BA in Government from Cornell University and was born and raised in the great state of Colorado.
