Jackson Parrott
Jackson is a dedicated researcher and policy analyst majoring in political science and history at Yale College. His interests broadly include security dynamics in international relations and the US-EU and US-NATO security partnerships. He recently returned from a summer study abroad in the UK where he participated in the Cambridge International Security and Intelligence Initiative hosted at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. While there, he was able to learn more about the intricacies of international security from a European perspective.
Additionally, he serves as a researcher with the Yale Foreign Policy Initiative, where he has worked closely with US Army Intelligence officers, on the employment of Violent Extremist Organizations (VEOs) in great power competition, publishing his work with the Irregular Warfare Initiative. More recently, he worked with researchers from the Center for a New American Security on issues with third states in US-China competition.
In addition to his work with the Yale Foreign Policy Initiative, Jackson serves as the Co-Director of the Space Policy Research Collaborative at Yale University, where he analyzes and develops policy frameworks and recommendations for space-related issues. Through this organization, he has helped lead partnerships with multiple US military branches, educational organizations, and international partners on topics ranging from space exploration to the evolution of international space law in regard to private space entities. In his spare time, he is also the Founder and Executive Director of Pardoned for Innocence an organization working for greater equity and justice in wrongful conviction compensation laws.
