Joyce Yusi Zhou

Joyce Yusi Zhou studies the visual and material culture of early modern Dutch worlds. Her dissertation explores how women navigated the complex social and cultural circumstances of Dutch colonial Indonesia through art and material culture. She received her M.A. in Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture from the Bard Graduate Center and her B.A. in Art History and the Interdisciplinary Project in the Humanities (IPH) from Washington University in St. Louis.
