Lea Jouannais Weiler

Léa Jouannais Weiler works on twentieth- and twenty-first-century German literature, with a focus on Austrian literature. Léa's dissertation explores the notion of superfluity in the works of Robert Musil, Mela Hartwig, Thomas Bernhard, and Elfriede Jelinek. Other interests include contemporary French literature, Jewish thought and history, and memory studies. Before coming to Yale for her PhD, Léa studied comparative literature at the ENS and Université Paris 7-Diderot in Paris.
