Minhee Kang
Minhee Kang is pursuing a Master’s degree in East Asian Studies at Yale University, concentrating on intercultural communication within legal and technological contexts. She holds a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property from Seoul National University, where her thesis, "Strategies for Utilizing AI Training Data: A Proposal for Categorizing Data to Address Legal Challenges," underscores her expertise in the intersection of law and technology.
Her professional experience includes roles at a Korean entertainment agency and contributions to the International Department at the University. In addition, she participated in initiatives with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and served as an AI Legal Engineering Specialist. During her collaboration with WIPO, she analyzed European AI legal frameworks, gaining valuable insights into policy development and its global impact on AI regulations. Through extensive travel in Europe, she has gained a deeper understanding of the region's diverse cultures and legal systems.
At Yale, Minhee is expanding her research to encompass both East Asian and Eurasian regions, with a particular focus on legal policies related to intellectual property and artificial intelligence. By adopting an interdisciplinary approach, she aims to address complex challenges at the intersection of law, technology, and culture.
