Miriam DeVries

Miriam (she/her) is a senior in Pierson College. She is currently working on her senior thesis in History under Prof. Carolyn Dean, focusing on English family memory storage in the cross-cultural commodity of Chinese porcelain kept as British heirlooms in London, 1685-1751 . She has previously worked on many subjects in memory and material culture in Early Modern Europe, including research on recipe books, magical gems, anti-feminist texts, cowrie shells, Moroccan silverwork, and more! She looks forward to discussing and learning with other fellows as she finishes her studies at Yale.
