Ryan Pike

I study climate and energy politics in Europe with a focus on firm lobbying and innovation for decarbonization. My dissertation project investigates when we might expect firms to cooperate in pursuit of decarbonization and support state aid policies that de-risk these investments. More broadly, I am interested in the use of media by both domestic and foreign actors and its implications for climate politics, foreign policy and populism in the European Union.
