Sarah Saleem
Hello! I am Sarah, a sophomore studying English with a potential double major in History. I am a part of numerous international relations projects and organizations on campus-- including Yale Model Government Europe in Athens, Greece-- and am interested in European contemporary politics and policymaking as well as UN and EU activities across the continent. This summer, I worked as an instructor for Yale Young Global Scholars, and taught three courses with focuses in Europe: the rise of right-wing populism across Europe, Portuguese and Swedish drug policy; and frozen conflicts in light of Russia's various post-soviet relationships with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and the ongoing war in Ukraine. Additionally, I hope to study abroad in France in the summer of 2023 and potentially work on research relating to French politics, especially in the context of far-right populism throughout Europe.
