Description:
Don't Talk Politics (2025) is a thought-provoking documentary by filmmaker Vitaliia Babushchak that explores the global crisis of democracy. Featuring insights from prominent intellectuals and experts, the film critically examines the ways in which propaganda, political manipulation, and the erosion of democratic values have intensified worldwide. Central to the film's narrative is the lens of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which serves as a backdrop for understanding broader issues of democratic backsliding.
The documentary features interviews with an array of scholars, activists, and thought leaders, including Marci Shore, Andrei Kureichik, Jason Stanley, and others, who offer their perspectives on the complex intersection of politics, media, and society. With its focus on current geopolitical challenges, Don't Talk Politics raises urgent questions about the future of democracy, the role of truth in public discourse, and the power dynamics shaping our world.
