REEES | Environmental Conservation in the Russian Far East
World-renowned environmental advocates Nataliia Lisitcyna and Dmitry Lisitsyn have spent decades working in environmental conservation in the Russian Far East. As part of the Sakhalin Environmental Watch, which Dmitry founded, and for which Nataliia worked as a lawyer, the Lisitsyns have successfully halted several harmful extraction efforts in the region, and have helped pass new laws and standards that mitigate the impacts of others. Please join us for a Russian-language presentation of their work, followed by a short Q and A. Lunch will be provided.
Please note that this event will be in Russian; graduate and undergraduate students of all levels are welcome.
