Webinar

Event description:

Wondering what a career related to Russian, East European, & Eurasian Studies might look like, and how to pursue it successfully? At this webinar, alums from several REEESNe institutions talked about how their studies of this part of the world prepared them for non-academic professions and how they have navigated careers in areas ranging from foreign policy and the law to journalism and corporate relations. The hour-long webinar (9:00 - 10:00 AM Eastern) was streamed live from the REEESNe Student Conference, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania’s 20th Annual Slavic Bazaar, and included presentations from alumni and a Q&A session with the speakers at which both online and in-person attendees could pose questions. The webinar was intended mostly for undergraduate and masters-level students in REEESNe institutions, a network of universities and colleges in the northeastern United States administered through Yale’s REEES program, but was open to any students, faculty, and administrators who cared to join by registering.

Featured speakers:

Elizaveta Mankovskaya (Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Saint Joseph’s University)
Spencer Willig (Trial Attorney, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission)
Aaron Schwartzbaum (Columnist and Podcast Host, Foreign Policy Research Institute)
