Joint IR Workshop/ISS Colloquium with Caitlin Talmadge
International Security Studies will co-host this week’s colloquium with the Macmillan International Relations Seminar. Caitlin Talmadge will present “Peacetime Military Doctrine and Nuclear Escalation Risk.”
Talmadge is associate professor of political science at MIT and is currently Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars in Washington, DC. She also serves as a Senior Non-Resident Fellow in Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution and as a member of the Defense Policy Board at the U.S. Department of Defense. Her research and teaching focus on nuclear deterrence and escalation, U.S. military operations and strategy, and security issues in Asia and the Persian Gulf.
