Shaadee Ahmadnia
Shaadee Ahmadnia is a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (2014-2016) and a Fox International Fellow at the University of São Paulo. She has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology and International Studies from the University of La Verne. During her time at Yale, she worked with the Governance, Environments, and Markets Initiative to examine the ability of different global interventions to open domestic pathways to resource conservation, equitable land-use policies, and poverty alleviation. Shaadee’s research at USP will broaden the pathways of influence framework to derive insights on institutional responses to the Zika virus and examine strategies through which transnational actors may unlock sequential steps and opportunities for cooperation to provide the expedient action necessary to stop the debilitating effects of Zika on children, the women who care for them, and the state in which they reside.
