The Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition was founded in 1998. Since then, the Center has held hundreds of panels, book talks, evening lectures, special events, and  “Brown Bag lunch” talks featuring new research from our visiting fellows.
