Information for Kempf Fund Awardees
By accepting funding for a Kempf Fund award for the 2024-25 academic year, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
All questions regarding the monitoring and processing of your expenses should be submitted to the MacMillan Center Business Office at macmillan.finance@yale.edu. The funding will be available to you beginning on July 1, 2024 and must be used by June 21, 2025 unless you request permission from the MacMillan Center Business Office in advance. It is your responsibility to monitor the expenditure of the award, and you alone will be responsible for any over-expenditures. Kempf Fund awards that you do not use due to a change of plans, underspending, etc., will revert to the MacMillan Center. Awards remain at the MacMillan Center and will not be transferred your research account or to your school or your department and may be used only for the purposes described in your proposal.
If you are receiving administrative support through the MacMillan Center or one of its Councils or Programs, it is your responsibility to arrange for coordination of your event in a timely manner. To coordinate support for your event, please contact the program director of the MacMillan Center council or program that endorsed your proposal or please contact Richard Sosa, Senior Director of Engagement at richard.sosa@yale.edu. Please liaise with them at your earliest opportunity to create a workplan for your event. If the funding that you have been awarded does not meet the full requirements of your plans, you will need to pursue additional sources to secure the remaining funding or scale your plans to accommodate the funding you do have.
Please acknowledge the support of The Edward J. and Dorothy Clarke Kempf Memorial Fund and The Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale in all your publicity, communications, or publications related to or resulting from your event. You will need to submit copy of the publicity showing these acknowledgements when you submit your expenses.
