Tara Chozet

As Director for Outreach and Impact, Tara is leading the creation and execution of a visibility strategy that sets the stage for cohesive outputs, branding, programming, and events. Working with the MacMillan Center communications team members and the councils and programs, Tara is developing forward-looking strategic communications and activities to enhance Yale’s reputation and communicate about the Center’s activities.

Tara has a 15-year track record of creating and implementing strategic, integrated communications plans for corporate and state government organizations. Through roles with the Connecticut Secretary of State, the CT Lottery, and ESPN, she has become well-versed in executive, external, internal, and executive communications, crisis management, and multi-platform communications.

Tara earned her bachelor's degree in history from Dartmouth College and her master's degree in journalism from the University of Southern California. She is a native Spanish speaker.
