LIFFY 2019 poster competition
To commemorate its 10th year, the Latino & Iberian Film Festival at Yale (LIFFY) invites Yale student artists to submit a poster design for the festival’s poster. All university students, graduate and undergraduate, are encouraged to participate. Please review the rules, criteria, and guidelines of the competition and submit your design here.
The winning artist will receive a $250 prize and recognition in the Latino & Iberian Film Festival printed program.
Submissions will be accepted on or before Monday, September 9, 2019. A committee of LIFFY personnel will judge the submissions on the overall impact of the poster, including attractiveness, creativity, and marketability.
The Latino and Iberian Film Festival is hosted at Yale, free and open to the general public. It strives to promote cultural awareness and understanding through the screening of films from many different countries where Spanish and Portuguese are spoken, and by inviting filmmakers, actors, and producers to converse with our audience. Its premise is that knowledge promotes respect for diversity and unity among peoples of divergent backgrounds. All films are screened with English subtitles.
