MacMillan Center Announces Increase in Student Fellowship Funding for International Topics
The Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale is committed to supporting research that addresses global challenges and fostering cross-cultural understanding. In response to inflation and rising international travel costs and to ensure robust support for student projects, the MacMillan Center is pleased to announce the increase in fellowship funding for students working on international topics. Applications are now open through the Student Grant Database.
The new maximum award amounts and application deadlines are as follows:
Coca-Cola World Fund at Yale – up to $7,500
Deadline: February 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM
MacMillan Pre-Dissertation Research Fellowships – up to $7,000
Deadline: February 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM
MacMillan Summer Fellowships for Language Study - up to $5,000 for tuition and fees and a $3,500 stipend
Deadline: February 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM
Henry Hart Rice Foreign Residence Fellowship – up to $30,000
Deadline: February 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM
Tristan Perlroth Prize for Summer Foreign Travel – up to $7,000
Deadline: February 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM
MacMillan Academic Year Fellowships for Language Study - up to $18,000 for non-Yale University tuition and fees and up to $20,000 for living expenses
Deadline: May 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM
The MacMillan Center offers funding for language study, internships, dissertation research, independent projects, and presenting at conferences. Students interested in funding opportunities through the MacMillan Center are encouraged to attend upcoming Zoom information sessions.
