Jingying Mo received her B.A. degree from Fudan University in China, majoring in Translation and Interpretation. She also finished an interdisciplinary program in Classics and gained reading proficiency in both Latin and Ancient Greek.

Her research interests lie in the field of comparative women’s history, with a particular emphasis on the body narratives in both Chinese and Greco-Roman antiquity. Her work spans the disciplines of art history, childhood history, and medical history, exploring how the female body has been represented in art and texts throughout history.

Currently, Jingying is engaged in a research project that examines the childhood limits of ancient Greek female children. She is also working on a research exploring the girl images in children paintings in Song dynasty.  In the future, she hopes to delve deeper into the comparative study of the portrayal of Chinese and ancient Greek female children in texts and images.

Jingying is multilingual, fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, with a beginner’s proficiency in Spanish and reading proficiency in Latin and Ancient Greek.  Outside of her academic pursuits, she has a keen interest in astrology and has been training herself to be both a skilled astrologist and researcher.
