After graduation, Jacob joined Biden for President as a field organizer, working primaries and caucuses across half a dozen states before becoming a regional organizing director for the Texas Democratic Party. Most recently, he served as a director at Laurel Strategies, a strategic communications firm based in Washington, D.C., where he supported external communications, media relations, and project management efforts for clients across a number of private and civil society sectors.
At Yale, Jacob is interested in studying the formation and ideological manifestations of group identity in Eurasia and the Caucasus. He is especially interested in exploring how changing and overlapping identities among ethnic and linguistic minorities influence political outcomes across the region.
