Event description: 

Dr. Doris H. Gray taught for 7 years at Al Akhawayn University where she directed the Hilary Clinton Center for Women’s Empowerment. She now resides in Berlin, and serves as Honorary Professor at Roskilde University.
Among her latest publications, and besides Leaving the Shadow of Pain – a cross-cultural exploration of truth, trauma, reconciliation and healing (Logos Verlag, 2020), there is Women and Social Change in North Africa: What counts as Revolutionary? (Cambridge University Press, 2018, paperback edition 2020), and Beyond Feminism and Islamism: Gender and Equality in North Africa (I.B. Tauris, 2012, revised edition 2014).
The event will take place both in person (open only to Yale Affiliated) and online (open to all).
