MacMillan's signature events offer the Yale community direct access to thought-provoking insights and global perspectives. In the 2025–2026 academic year, the Center will welcome acclaimed journalist Peter Pomerantsev, leading economist Kenneth Rogoff, and award-winning author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (’08 M.A.) to Luce Hall as featured speakers.

In addition to its annual lectures, the Center brings top scholars to Yale for one-semester or one-year appointments through the Henry Hart Rice Visiting Lectureship Fund. These fellowships deepen the university’s global engagement by supporting visiting faculty who contribute to the academic community through teaching, public lectures, and meaningful dialogue on world affairs and cultures.
