Kasturi Gupta

Kasturi Gupta is the Program Director of the South Asian Studies Council and the Program on Refugees, Forced Displacement, and Humanitarian Responses. Before she joined Yale in 2009, she was the program coordinator for the South Asia Center at Syracuse University. She has more than 10 years of experience in university administration. She has also worked extensively in public health, the international development sector, and corporate social responsibility. Kasturi holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Syracuse University. She is fluent in Bengali, Hindi, English, and has conversational familiarity with Marathi.
