Application

Interested applicants must complete all aspects of the online application form by December 8, 2025 at 4 pm ET. Documents required for submission as part of the application include:


1. Application form
    a. Proposed workshop paper title
    b. Proposed workshop paper abstract (max 1,000 characters w/ spaces)

2. Academic writing sample of previous work
The writing sample must be in English and is limited to 20 pages formatted per the restrictions outlined below. The writing sample should be an example of your strongest academic writing. Potential samples may include, but are not limited to, a paper submitted for an academic class, a paper submitted to or published in an academic journal, or a dissertation chapter. 

The writing sample is intended to demonstrate the quality of your previous academic work and should be thematically and intellectually distinct from the content of your proposed workshop paper abstract. There should be no overlap in content between the writing sample and the paper which selected applicants eventually submit to the workshop. Any overlap between submitted writing samples and workshop papers will lead to disqualification of participation in the workshop.

Uploaded pages must be formatted as follows. Submissions which do not meet these formatting requirements will not be considered.

  • Do NOT include any identifying information, such as your name, email, institution, etc. on these pages.
  • While you may include in-text citations, do NOT include any extended footnotes, bibliography, or reference list.
  • Times New Roman, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, 1-inch margins with page numbers
  • PDF file no larger than 5 MB
     

3.  One-page CV (Please utilize this template.)
Uploaded CVs must be formatted as follows. Submitting a CV which is longer than one page or which otherwise differs substantially from the provided template may lead to the disqualification of your application.

  • Include ONLY educational qualifications (with dates for enrollment and awarded degrees), publications, and presentations.
  • Maximum one page
  • PDF file no larger than 5 MB
