Richard Sosa is the Senior Director of Engagement at the MacMillan Center, where he is responsible for communications, fundraising, and outreach. Previously, Richard served as Program Director for the Council on East Asian Studies from 2015 to 2022. Before joining the MacMillan Center in 2015, he was Program Manager for the international team at the Yale Office of Development. Richard first came to Yale in 2007 as a Ph.D. student in the Department of History, where he studied the history of medicine in China. Richard completed his undergraduate degree in 2006 at Williams College with a double major in Chinese and history and studied at Taiwan National Normal University after graduation. At Yale, Richard is a member of several Yale affinity groups and a Fellow of Pauli Murray College. In his free time, Richard serves as President of the Williams Regional Association of New Haven and enjoys cooking, hiking, and exploring Connecticut.
