Undergraduate Student Affiliates Program

The CLAIS Undergraduate Student Affiliates program is open to Yale College students with an interest in Latin American and Iberian Studies. It offers a close-knit, interdisciplinary community and unique opportunities to engage with other students, faculty, and visiting scholars.

The network also supports student-led research and academic exploration by offering small grants for conference participation, research travel (domestic or international), and working groups. Funding is available through the Yale Student Grants & Fellowships database—search for the Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies (CLAIS) - Fall Semester, Winter, and Spring Break Travel/Conference Award.

In addition to funding, CLAIS Undergraduate Student Affiliates benefit from access to reading groups, lectures, and networking opportunities with faculty, alumni, and fellow students committed to Latin American and Iberian studies.
